I recently stayed at Edward Charles in MBay for two days after a long sail from Cape Town. The place was neat and well kept, and I had a clean and well-appointed bedroom. The staff, including the two lovely girls at reception, were friendly, kind, and extremely helpful. The hotel is in a great location and offers a stunning ocean view from Room 12. The warm breakfast served was delicious, and the value for money was exceptional. I will definitely use this guest house again when traveling nearby.
Totally recommend this hotel.

I recently had a pleasant stay at a hotel in Mossel Bay. The hotel is situated in a good area, close to restaurants and the harbor. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The rooms were nice and well-maintained, with a lovely view of Mossel Bay. The breakfast provided was delicious and offered great value for money.
One small improvement could be made in terms of safety, as there was no non-slip mat in the shower. However, this did not detract from an otherwise comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The rooms at Edward Charles Manor are absolutely stunning! The décor is elegant and tasteful, making us feel like we were staying in a luxurious retreat on the incredible Garden Route. The premium bedding and the cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home. Plus, the free WiFi and in-room safe were super convenient for our family.
Personally, I found the presence of a mini bar in the room a bit unnecessary. But hey, that's just me!

The layout of the house was absolutely amazing, with spacious rooms that were beautifully clean. We were lucky enough to have a sea view from our room, which was a mind-blowing surprise. The breakfast, while not super impressive, was decent enough. The staff, especially the lady who served us, were incredibly friendly and helpful. It felt like staying at a home away from home. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and the views of the bay and harbour were jaw-dropping. With free wi-fi, a car park , and even a swimming pool, our stay was definitely a memorable one.

The ocean view from the upgraded room was fantastic and the staff were friendly and welcoming. the breakfast was delicious and had good options. the location was central and convenient to reach local attractions.
The room had a musty odor and the mattress was uncomfortable, resulting in a poor night's sleep. the parking area and perimeter of the property felt insecure and could be accessed by anyone, causing safety concerns.

The reception at Edward Charles Manor was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The staff was professional and helpful, ensuring that every detail was taken care of during our stay. We were especially grateful to Christiaan, Anne, Mariaan, Joyce, and Lesley for going above and beyond to make our Christmas weekend special. The location of the manor was also excellent, providing beautiful views of the bay and harbor from our ocean-facing room. Additionally, the breakfast served at the hotel was delicious, and parking was always available.
Regarding the cons, there were a few minor issues with the room decor and attention to detail, such as well-used sheets and curtains coming off their rails. It would have been nice to have face cloths in the bathrooms as well.
